Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Parsons has secured a five‑year project management contract for the Dubai Metro Blue Line. This achievement highlights Dubai’s commitment to expanding its transport network and supports the city’s 2040 Urban Master Plan.
Parsons will oversee planning, coordination, and execution for the Blue Line expansion. With this responsibility, Dubai aims to improve connectivity between residential and commercial districts. Moreover, the project will help the city meet sustainability goals while advancing the D33 Economic Agenda.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) appointed Parsons to manage timelines, stakeholder communication, and technical integration. The company will also ensure that construction partners follow safety and quality standards. As a result, the Blue Line project should progress with fewer delays and stronger collaboration.
Pierre Santoni, Parsons President – Infrastructure EMEA, said the company’s local expertise and eighty years of international transport experience would be used “to provide a world-class system using the safest techniques and most advanced technology available.”
Malek Ramadan Mishmish, Director of Rail Planning and Project Development, RTA, responded that they chose Parsons because it has experience in managing high-profile projects such as the Red Line, Route 2020 and Infinity Bridge. He added that it is within the emirate’s vision to become “the smartest and happiest city in the world” through smart, sustainable transport by working with the best international companies.
Parsons has delivered several major infrastructure projects across the Middle East. This new contract reinforces its reputation as a trusted partner for urban development. With the Blue Line underway, the company continues to contribute to the region’s transport transformation.
