Robust iPhone sales drive a 31% revenue surge for Apple India in FY26, outpacing competitors.

Apple India surpassed ₹1 lakh crore in FY26 revenue as consumer preference for premium smartphones skyrocketed.

The Indian smartphone landscape is experiencing a massive shift. Consumers are steadily upgrading to premium devices. Apple India has capitalised on this changing consumer behaviour. As a result, the technology giant crossed a historic financial milestone.

The company reported ₹1,03,853 crore in operational revenue for the financial year ending March 2026. This impressive figure represents a 31% annual increase. Meanwhile, local rival Samsung faced a 1.4% decline in mobile phone revenues. Apple is rapidly dominating the premium handset sector.

Profit margins reflected an even stronger upward trajectory. Specifically, Apple India recorded a 66% jump in net profit. This brought its total earnings to ₹5,311 crore for the fiscal year. Furthermore, overall sales volumes grew by an astonishing 24%.

Industry analysts noted that narrowing price gaps heavily influence this trend. Android flagship models are becoming increasingly expensive. Hence, shoppers are naturally gravitating towards the strong brand appeal of iPhones. Deeper retail penetration and accessible financing options support this growth.

Researchers confirmed that the premium smartphone segment grew by 12% overall. This category comprises devices priced above ₹30,000. Conversely, Samsung maintains a larger overall revenue footprint of ₹1.12 lakh crore. Their diverse portfolio includes appliances, network equipment, and smartphones.

Interestingly, the reported figures exclude extensive domestic manufacturing efforts. Contract manufacturers handle massive export volumes independently. Thus, these overseas sales bypass domestic accounting entirely. India remains a crucial battleground for global technology supremacy.
