VSBLTY and AirBrij unveil secure edge computing hardware for extreme environments.

A new AI edge-computing device promises secure surveillance without relying on the cloud.

VSBLTY Groupe Technologies recently released a new artificial intelligence edge computing platform. Specifically, this ruggedised device eliminates cloud dependency for sensitive security environments. Furthermore, the firm co-developed this hardware with AirBrij Technology. Consequently, the technology processes real-time surveillance while simultaneously exposing no data to vulnerable external networks.

The VSBLTY Edge platform runs multiple perception and analytics software stacks simultaneously. Furthermore, it manages data from four camera feeds precisely at the collection point. The NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX powers this advanced surveillance tool. Additionally, this microchip delivers an impressive 100 TOPS of AI inference speed.

The unit evaluates weapons detection and facial recognition instantly. Moreover, it tracks crowd behaviour and reads licence plates in severe weather conditions. The robust enclosure withstands extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C. Meanwhile, AirBrij Smart Networking provides secure telemetry and device management at the network edge.

Defence organisations and law enforcement agencies face severe data sovereignty challenges today. Cloud-based AI simply cannot meet their strict security and low-latency requirements. Therefore, this mesh-connected solution solves a critical architectural vulnerability. Each unit operates autonomously within a secure distributed compute fabric.

Hundreds of devices can coordinate effortlessly across massive city-scale deployments. Native VPN support encrypts all central communication completely. Global markets are already evaluating or deploying these highly anticipated production units. Currently, operations span India, the Philippines, the United States, Africa, and the GCC.

The GCC uses it for perimeter security and counter-UAS detection. American clients utilise the system for weapons detection and commercial analytics. VSBLTY chief executive Jay Hutton noted that customers require millisecond threat processing. He added that keeping data sovereign remains absolutely essential for modern defence.

Ultimately, the new hardware perfectly matches their sophisticated software capabilities. AirBrij chief executive David Shoup echoed this strong sentiment regarding field-ready devices. He emphasised that their joint venture addresses a major oversight in the industry. Finally, building security networks with edge AI represents a rapidly growing global opportunity.
